How does it all work? Are there any exceptions?
Overall, the commission structure is extremely simple. There are NO multi-levels or anything like that (trust us, this is a GOOD thing!)

The exception comes into play when someone is referred directly to a specific product which they go on to purchase. In this case, the commission will go to the affiliate that referred the member to that specific product offer, and not to their sponsor if they had previously registered under someone else. This only applies to situations where an existing member (under a differect sponsor) is referred directly to a specific product that they purchase. The following might help to clear things up a bit.
Important notes regarding commissions when promoting a specific product using the special product referral link:
- If you send someone to a specific product on PromoPit (through the special product referral link), then YOU will earn the commission should this person choose to purchase that specific product ... even if that person already has a PromoPit account under a different sponsor.
- The reason the commission is being overridden in this specific case is because the commission should go to the member that created that specific sale.
- Handling commissions in this manner also allows product owners to email their lists when they are having a special promotion on PromoPit, and they would not need to pay the commissions just because one of their members happened to already be a member of PromoPit under a different sponsor
- In a nut shell, affiliates get the best of both worlds because they will earn commissions on every marketplace purchase their referral makes for life, but affiliates also ensure they get the commission if they specifically went out and created that sale through their marketing efforts.
